On Thursday, the Senate failed to confirm Mr. Ibrahim Magu who was the acting chairman of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, (EFCC), as the commission’s chairman.
On the 14th of July, the Senate President, Bukola Saraki read the read the letter from the President requesting Magus Confirmation as EFCC Boss. But the senate did not commence the hearing of the request.
After Five months of delay, Ike Ekweremadu, the deputy senate president, On Wednesday, announced that the confirmation hearing would be held on Thursday.
Nevertheless, the senate placed the confirmation pending since, they failed to list the confirmation in order paper for Thursday hearing.
Furthermore, Mr. Magu and some other officials were at the senate this morning waiting for the hearing but it never came.
